Coarse Evolution is Wesley Adcock’s raw and deeply personal journey from a broken young boy to a blue-collar believer in Christ.
Growing up in rural East Texas and Louisiana, Wesley’s childhood was shaped by fathers and grandfathers, hunting and fishing trips, hard work, family traditions, and the simple lessons of life. But beneath those memories were experiences that would leave lasting wounds, trauma, shame, family struggles, loss, anger, and questions he carried silently for years.
As Wesley grows older, those experiences begin to shape the man he becomes. Through work, relationships, marriage, fatherhood, disappointment, and seasons of uncertainty, he learns that strength is not simply found in enduring hardship, it is found in allowing God to transform it.
His journey is not one of perfection. It is a story of mistakes, consequences, perseverance, and gradual spiritual awakening. Through the ordinary realities of blue-collar life, construction sites, farms, hunting camps, fishing waters, family gatherings, and the workplace, Wesley begins to recognize God's presence in places he never expected to find Him.
About the Author
Wesley Adcock is a blue-collar husband, father, storyteller, and believer whose life has been shaped by hard work, family, faith, and the lessons found in both hardship and grace. Raised in rural East Texas and Louisiana, Wesley developed an early love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and the kind of work that leaves dirt under your fingernails and teaches you something about life.
His journey has included brokenness, loss, mistakes, hard seasons, and the consequences of choices made along the way. But through it all, Wesley has discovered that God can take even the roughest pieces of a life and begin shaping them into something meaningful.
Coarse Evolution is his first book—a testimony to that process and a reminder that redemption rarely happens all at once. Wesley writes from the perspective of an ordinary man who has learned that faith isn’t about having everything figured out; it’s about continuing to walk with Christ through whatever comes next.
